Jeju 3 Nights 4 Days Itinerary: Complete Round-the-Island Guide 2026

Planning a Jeju 3 nights 4 days itinerary, the hardest question is always “where do I even start?” Jeju is Korea’s top year-round destination, but underestimate this island and you may end up stranded without a rental car, or burn the whole trip on the west coast while the east goes untouched. This guide lays out a practical loop that covers east, west, south and north in four days. All operating hours and fees were verified for 2026 — use it as a copy-ready plan.

Jeju 3 Nights 4 Days Itinerary: Rental Car vs Public Transit

To cut to the point, this Jeju 3 nights 4 days itinerary is built around a rental car. Public buses cover most routes, but travel times run two to three times longer than driving. Over four days, that means losing roughly half your trip to transit alone.

A compact rental car runs about KRW 40,000–60,000 per day. In peak season (July–August and major holidays) prices spike 1.5x, so book at least two weeks ahead. Major rental desks cluster near Jeju International Airport, and most offer free shuttle pickup so you can drive away immediately. A Korean license is enough — an international permit is not required — and LPG cars give roughly 100 km per KRW 10,000 in fuel. For destination details, see the official Visit Jeju site. Day 1 of the Jeju Itinerary: East Route — Seongsan Ilchulbong to Bijarim Forest

Jeju 3 nights 4 days itinerary Day 1 — Seongsan Ilchulbong crater and east coast view

Head east straight from the airport after picking up the rental car. It’s roughly one hour ten minutes to Seongsan Ilchulbong, and an early arrival means you can climb this famous sunrise peak before the crowds. Related: Jeju black pork restaurant guide.

Seongsan Ilchulbong admission is KRW 5,000 for adults, and it operates from 7:00 to 20:00 (seasonal variation applies). Round-trip to the summit takes about an hour, and the Seopjikoji walking trail next door adds another 30-minute loop. For lunch, the cutlassfish stew restaurants around Seongsan port serve hearty local meals for around KRW 15,000 per person.

In the afternoon, drive to Bijarim Forest. The 3,000 won admission gets you onto a trail through 2,800 nutmeg trees aged 500 to 800 years; the full loop takes about an hour. Sitting in the east-central highlands, it stays cool even in midsummer with strong phytoncide effects. Stay overnight in Pyoseon or Sehwa to make Day 2’s east-to-north transition easy.

Day 2 of the Jeju 3 Nights 4 Days Itinerary: North Route — Hamdeok Beach and Hallasan 1100 Plateau

Jeju 3 nights 4 days itinerary Day 2 — emerald waters of Hamdeok Seoubong Beach

Day two heads north. In the morning, hit Hamdeok Seoubong Beach for snorkeling or paddleboarding. It’s considered one of Jeju’s clearest beaches, with paddleboard rentals at KRW 15,000–20,000 per hour. A cafe strip lines the beach, ideal for coffee after the water.

After lunch, climb to the 1100 Plateau. The 1100 Plateau Wetland sits at 1,100 meters elevation, is Ramsar-registered, free to enter, and changes character season by season — pink azaleas in March–April, green waves in June–July, silver grass in autumn. The wetland is right beside the parking lot for easy access. Weather shifts fast at altitude, so pack a light layer. For a deeper Hallasan trek, check the Hallasan National Park site for reservations and trail hours.

Day 3 of the Jeju Itinerary: West Route — Chagwido Island and Osulloc

The west is less developed, leaving a quieter Jeju mood intact. Start the morning with the Chagwido pleasure boat from Jagunae Port in Gosan. Round trip is KRW 16,500 per person for about 90 minutes, and some routes include a 30-minute walk on uninhabited Chagwido Island. On a clear day the emerald waters and basalt cliffs are spectacular. Departures depend on the weather, so call to confirm the day before (064-738-5355).

Spend the afternoon at the Osulloc Tea Museum. Built on a green tea field, admission is free. The in-house cafe serves Jeju green tea ice cream (KRW 5,500) and organic green tea latte (KRW 6,500), and the 20-minute walk through the back tea fields is photogenic. Pair it with the nearby Innisfree Jeju House to fill out the western afternoon.

Day 4 of the Jeju 3 Nights 4 Days Itinerary: South Route — Jungmun and the Return via Seogwipo

Jeju 3 nights 4 days itinerary Day 4 — Daepo Jusangjeolli basalt columnar cliffs

The final day runs south then back to the airport. Start at the Jusangjeolli columnar joints early to avoid crowds. Admission KRW 2,000, open 9:00 to 18:00. Hexagonal basalt columns line the coast, and the spray from waves crashing in adds real drama. The walk is 30–40 minutes round trip.

Jeju 3 nights 4 days itinerary at Jeongbang Falls — coastal waterfall dropping into the sea

Lunch at Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market is the move — black pork belly grills, mackerel noodle soup and pork noodle soup at market prices. A bowl of pork noodle soup runs KRW 8,000–9,000. Close the day with a walk to Jeongbang Waterfall, the only coastal waterfall in Asia that falls directly into the sea. Admission KRW 2,000, ten minutes on foot. The airport is within an hour from Seogwipo, so leaving around 2 pm leaves plenty of buffer for an evening flight.
